Customer Car Feature: Ford Focus ST With Maxton Side & Rear Diffuser

What kind of car do you own?

Ford Focus ST

How long have you owned the car?

I’ve owned this car for 1 and a half years so far and I'm still enjoying it.

What did you own prior to your current car?

Prior to my Focus ST I owned a Mazda 3 SP25 hatch.

Why did you choose this car? What appeals to you the most?

The thing that made me fall for this car was the colour of the car. It’s just so different to what you see in the street every day. The standard Recaro seats appeal to me the most as every time I jump in the car I’m getting hugged, these seats are incredibly comfortable.

What work have you completed on the car so far ?

So far I've made quite a few performance improvements but there is always something to do next.

  • COBB turn back
  • COBB Intake
  • Steeda sound symposer delete
  • Accessport- freektuned
  • SS-Tuning Gear Knob
  • SS-Tuning Gear Boot
  • Accessport
  • Work Meisters M1 18x9.5 32+ Redrilled To Suit.
  • Airlift Front Airbags
  • Airlift Rear Airbags + Lower Control Arms
  • Accuair management VU4

What work would you like to do to your car in the future?

I would like to start working on the engine now and my aim is get my car to the 300+ KW performance mark. It would be an achievement to have that kind of performance out of this car.

What type of bodykit does have on the car?

The car has the Fifteen52 front cup spoilers with the Ford Focus ST Maxton design side and rear diffuser which was purchased from AusBody Works.

How have you improved the performance?

I had the car put through a custom tune though the accessport.

What parts or tuning has been completed?

The car has been Freektuned from America and has allowed the car to gain more power.

What mistakes have you made? Did you waste money on trying to change your car?

The only mistake I’ve made with this car is changing rims so often (haha). I haven’t enjoyed a full set of rims for over 3 months as yet and I'm constantly upgrading.

What would you recommend to other car enthusiasts about owner a car like yours or more generally in terms of upgrading an existing car? Any advice, tips or tricks?

No recommendations to be quite honest. It’s what you see is what you get and just a really great daily driver.
